Serving Carnation from Totem Lake, Kirkland
Carnation is a small valley town with no body shop of its own, and when a deer or a wet corner on SR-203 does its damage, Carnation drivers come to L-M Body Shop in Kirkland. Paint is where a cheap repair shows. L-M Body Shop has been refinishing Carnation vehicles since 1987, and the goal on every job is simple: you should not be able to tell where the repair stops.

SR-203 and the Tolt River valley roads bring deer strikes, flood debris, gravel chips and the occasional slide into a ditch. Remlinger Farms and Tolt-MacDonald Park traffic adds the parking lot bumps on busy weekends. Trucks and SUVs built for farm and valley life, plus commuter cars that spend a lot of miles on two-lane roads.
About Auto Paint
Auto body and paint work at L-M Body Shop covers scratches, chips, scuffed and cracked bumpers, dented panels and full refinishing. Damage is repaired properly first, then color is mixed to your factory code, test sprayed, blended into the adjacent panels and clear-coated in our paint booth so the repair disappears. For Carnation customers the process is straightforward: a free look at the damage, a written estimate that separates repair from refinish, the body work, priming and block sanding, then color matched to your paint code, blended and clear-coated in the booth. Two to four days for most single-panel jobs.
L-M Body Shop is family owned, women led, BBB A+ rated and a Best of Kirkland Business Hall of Fame shop. Carnation customers who find us once tend to stay with us.

Your insurer cannot require you to use a particular shop, and it still has to pay for a proper repair at the shop you pick.

Great service and great people. I had passenger side door's panel came off due to a little accident. I reached out to multiple body shop but LM body shop struck great impression in my mind. In the first interaction I knew that they're genuine and not trying to scam you. One of the part from the panel seems to be reusable and advised me to buy part by myself, so I can return if they don't ended up using it while repairing. And they didn't use it and saved me $500. Other bodyshops that I went, they never offered me this option and asked me to replace good part as well. In addition to that I didn't have to take the appointments for the quote, like I had to for the other places. They gave me quote promptly and squeezed the repair in their schedule as soon as the part arrived. I would definitely recommend this body shop to my friends and family.
Lorri and her team were amazing. This was my first time dealing with collision repairs and an insurance claim after someone damaged my rear bumper, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. They took the time to answer my questions, explain the process, and made everything feel much less stressful. Lorri was calm, kind, and incredibly easy to communicate with from start to finish. Her customer service really stood out and made a difficult situation so much easier to navigate. Highly recommend for quality repairs and excellent customer service.
I can't say enough good things about L-M Body Shop. I brought my brand-new Lexus in for a scratch, and Lorri took the time to try the least invasive solution before recommending a repair. The result exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciated the honesty and care. It's refreshing to find a shop that genuinely looks out for its customers. Thank you again, Lorri!
Yes. We mix to the factory paint code, test spray, compare under daylight-balanced light and blend the color into adjacent panels so there is no visible transition.
A spot repair or single panel is usually two to four days including cure time. Multi-panel and full repaints take longer, and we give you the schedule with the estimate.
If it has gone through to bare metal, yes, before the Pacific Northwest rain turns it into rust. If it is only in the clear coat we may be able to polish it, and we will tell you so.
