Why Do Kirkland Vehicles End Up Needing Auto Body & Paint?

Most of the damage we see from Kirkland is low speed: parking lot dings at the Village at Totem Lake and downtown garages, rear-end bumps in the I-405 backups at NE 85th and NE 124th, and fender scrapes on the tight streets around Market Street and Lake Washington Boulevard. Kirkland drives everything from Subarus and Toyotas to Teslas, Audis and BMWs, and our technicians have worked on all of them.

About Auto Paint
Auto Paint & Refinishing at L-M Body Shop in Kirkland

How Does Auto Body & Paint Work for Kirkland Customers?

Auto body and paint work at L-M Body Shop covers scratches, chips, scuffed and cracked bumpers, dented panels and full refinishing. Damage is repaired properly first, then color is mixed to your factory code, test sprayed, blended into the adjacent panels and clear-coated in our paint booth so the repair disappears. We read your paint code, spray a test card, compare it to the car under daylight-balanced light and adjust until it matches. Pearls, metallics and tri-coats take more steps, and we take them. Then the new color is blended outward so there is no hard edge.

Every refinished car is inspected under daylight-balanced light, washed and vacuumed before pickup, and we touch up small future scratches at no additional cost to you.

Our auto body and paint work customers come from Totem Lake, Juanita, Finn Hill, Kingsgate, Houghton and the rest of Kirkland. We are at 13209 NE 126th Pl, Suite A140 in Totem Lake, a few minutes from anywhere in Kirkland and just off I-405 at the NE 124th Street exit.

INSURANCE COMPANIES WE WORK WITH

every major carrier, plus Direct Repair for The Hartford

Collision happens, you call your insurance company, and then you call us. We work with every carrier below and many more, and we have handled claims from this same Totem Lake building since 1987. Don't see yours? Call (425) 821-8074, we almost certainly work with them too.

Also USAA, PEMCO, The Hartford, Mutual of Enumclaw, Esurance and any other carrier that writes auto policies in Washington.

You choose the body shop. Not your insurance company.

After a collision the first call is usually to the insurance company, and the adjuster may steer you toward a "preferred" or "network" shop. In Washington the choice of repair shop is yours. Your insurer cannot require you to use a particular shop, and it still has to pay for a proper repair at the shop you pick.

  • Network shops have agreements with the insurer. The agreement is with them, not with you.
  • Tell the adjuster: "I am taking it to L-M Body Shop in Kirkland." That is all it takes.
  • We send our estimate and photos to the adjuster, handle the supplement for hidden damage, and bill the insurer directly. You only pay your deductible.

Great service and great people. I had passenger side door's panel came off due to a little accident. I reached out to multiple body shop but LM body shop struck great impression in my mind. In the first interaction I knew that they're genuine and not trying to scam you. One of the part from the panel seems to be reusable and advised me to buy part by myself, so I can return if they don't ended up using it while repairing. And they didn't use it and saved me $500. Other bodyshops that I went, they never offered me this option and asked me to replace good part as well. In addition to that I didn't have to take the appointments for the quote, like I had to for the other places. They gave me quote promptly and squeezed the repair in their schedule as soon as the part arrived. I would definitely recommend this body shop to my friends and family.

Lorri and her team were amazing. This was my first time dealing with collision repairs and an insurance claim after someone damaged my rear bumper, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. They took the time to answer my questions, explain the process, and made everything feel much less stressful. Lorri was calm, kind, and incredibly easy to communicate with from start to finish. Her customer service really stood out and made a difficult situation so much easier to navigate. Highly recommend for quality repairs and excellent customer service.

I can't say enough good things about L-M Body Shop. I brought my brand-new Lexus in for a scratch, and Lorri took the time to try the least invasive solution before recommending a repair. The result exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciated the honesty and care. It's refreshing to find a shop that genuinely looks out for its customers. Thank you again, Lorri!

AUTO BODY & PAINT IN KIRKLAND

questions from Kirkland drivers

Will the paint match the rest of my car?

Yes. We mix to the factory paint code, test spray, compare under daylight-balanced light and blend the color into adjacent panels so there is no visible transition.

How long does paint work take for Kirkland customers?

A spot repair or single panel is usually two to four days including cure time. Multi-panel and full repaints take longer, and we give you the schedule with the estimate.

Is it worth fixing a small scratch?

If it has gone through to bare metal, yes, before the Pacific Northwest rain turns it into rust. If it is only in the clear coat we may be able to polish it, and we will tell you so.
